Position: Event and Social Media Coordinator
  • Reports to Executive Director
  • Term October 2022 – April 2023
Duties and responsibilities
  • Assisting the Executive Director (ED).
    • Workload is assigned by the ED and may include but not limited to:
      • Event Planning and Management
      • Organizing seminars
      • Social media
        • Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, YouTube, etc
      • Livestreaming events
      • Ability to learn and use a variety of software
      • Merchandise (Boutique) promotion
      • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, changeable environment, and meet tight deadlines; easily adaptable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and social media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Event planning and execution.
  • Experience working cooperatively with volunteers.
  • Knowledge of figure skating is an asset.
  • Travel and working on weeknights and/or weekends will be required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Bilingualism is an asset but not required.
Working conditions
  • Salary: $20/hour
  • Flexible workweek (maximum 20 hours/week)
    • Event execution is priority during these hours.
    • Some daytime (900-1600) availability could be required.
  • Duration of term: October – April (seasonal)
    • Potential for renewal
  • Location: Remote work locations will be considered.
  • Travel will be required.
  • Working during weeknights and/or weekends will be required.
  • Training will be provided (exception social media)
