SCNB is seeking an Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant is responsible to provide support to the Executive Director (ED).

Duties and responsibilities
  • Aiding the Executive Director.
  • Workload is assigned by the ED and can come from a variety of sources (e.g. Directors, Clubs, Coaches) and may include but not limited to:
    • Event Management
    • Club Consultations
    • Online seminars for coaches and athletes
    • Strategic plan execution
    • Athlete Development
    • Recruit officials for events
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications and experience
  • Excellent knowledge of figure skating and Skate Canada New Brunswick
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence positive change
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working cooperatively with volunteers
  • Event planning and execution
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, changeable environment, and meet tight deadlines
  • Travel may be required (SCNB Operational Plan must be followed)
  • Individuals currently involved at the club level may be deemed ineligible if there is conflict of interest either perceived or in fact based on the duties that this person will be required to perform.
  • Bilingual

Working conditions
  • Salary: $20/hour
  • Maximum 35 hours/week
  • Duration of term: Six (6) months
  • Location: must work from home until further notice
  • Travel may be required (SCNB Operational Plan must be followed)
